The Benefits of Coaching

As a leader in a non-profit organization – whether a member of the professional staff or a volunteer on the board of directors – you are charged and challenged with aligning the organization to its vision and mission, setting reasonable goals, acquiring or providing the resources to move the organization towards those goals, and evaluating your success. That’s a lot of responsibility – and pressure.
If you are like most non-profit leaders there are days you look at yourself in the mirror and wonder, “am I doing the right things to help this organization be successful?” And when you have those kinds of questions, who do you turn to for help and guidance? Who “coaches” you towards success?
Similarly, do you have concerns about your own professional development? Are you feeling fulfilled in your work or volunteer position today? What are your ambitions for “moving up or out?” These are tough questions to talk about with your co-workers, board members or others directly involved with you in your organization.
